Call for Entries STEAMROLLER 2009

Printing of large-scale relief woodcut prints will take place at The MTS Gallery at the Trailer Art Center in May, 2009. Participants will carve their woodcuts in plywood which are then inked and printed using a construction steamroller. Printing day May 9, 2009 will be a day-long session transforming one steamroller into a four-ton vibrating alchemist, compacting sandwiches of wood, ink, fabric and plastic into 4×5′ woodcut prints. Following the printing session the prints are to be displayed at the MTS Gallery. $50 participation fee includes wood panel, fabric, stretcher bar workshop, ink, and steamroller. Deadline: April 15.
