It’s a beautiful morning in Texas, the 50 degree weather a stark contrast to the below-freezing conditions in Minnesota. I arrived safely here on Monday morning and was greeted at the airport by my parents. What a blessing to be able to see them again and to look forward to sharing Christmas with them!
I planned my Texas trip a few weeks ago when NICS let me know that they’d completed all of the paperwork necessary to verify their philanthropic status to the Brazilian government. I re-assembled the required paperwork, put in my notice at the bookstore, and bought a plane ticket. Then, yesterday, I turned in a new visa application at the Brazilian Consulate in Houston.
I am quite hopeful that all the documentation will go through this time, and I remain confident that God has the situation well in hand.
